Amulets have been worn for protection for thousands of years. Early peoples lived in a world where strange and frightening things occurred that defied explanation. Consequently, amulets were used to protect homes, families, and livestock.
Amulets were also used to protect people from the "evil eye." The belief that a person or animal could harm another by staring at them with an evil eye dates back at least five thousand years, and ancient clay tablets have been found that describe the damage that the evil eye can inflict. The Sumerian god Ea spent most of his time fighting the evil eye. Even today, in many parts of the world, the evil eye is considered a major threat, and various kinds of amulets are used to avert it.
Amulets are originally natural items, such as an animal's tooth or a semi-precious stone.
Because talismans are intended to provide power, energy, and specific benefits they are often made at times that are believed to be spiritually or astrologically significant. They are frequently made from stone, metal, or parchment as these substances can easily be inscribed with words or pictures to add additional power. Many talismans come from predatory animals. A leopard's claw, shark's tooth, or eagle's feather, for instance, are believed to endow the wearer with some of the qualities of the animal from which it came.
Crystals and gemstones have been used as amulets and talismans for thousands of years. In fact, it is believed that people wore earrings and necklaces before they started wearing clothes. During the Crusades, many soldiers carried talismanic stones carved with runic messages. They also carried bloodstones because this type of stone was associated with Mars, the god of war. The soldiers felt that bloodstones would make them brave in battle and protect them from harm.
First, some safety notes.
Very young children should either not be left alone with crystals or should be past the putting-everything-in-their-mouths stage.
They should also understand that crystals should not be thrown, put into the tape slot of the VCR, the washer, dryer, or any other appliance.
This doesn't mean that you need to wait to introduce them to crystals. Crystals which are placed out of crawling or climbing reach can help to create a harmonious atmosphere for a baby's room.
Overall, the presence of crystals in a very young child's life helps her/him to form a connection to the mineral kingdom which may always be a part of his/her life.
The above safety notes also don't mean that a baby or very young child shouldn't be allowed to touch a crystal. You may show it and let your Baby touch the Crystal under your Supervision. Babies are so innocent, that they easily absorb all energies around. Not all people may bring good or positive energies with them even unintentionally. Therefore it is Very Important to Protect you Child with the Magic Properties of Crystals.
If you wear a talisman for financial success, your subconscious mind will work toward this goal and bring financial opportunities to your attention. In this instance, it could be said that your belief in the talisman is providing the necessary power to allow the process to work.
Experiment with a variety of charms, amulets, and talismans and see what happens. I believe that you will gain more self-assurance, power, and control over every aspect of your life. This is because you will be harnessing the powers of the universe to attract what you want, and to repel what you don't want. Use them for good, and create the life you deserve.
Crystal Wands have been used as a healing tool for centuries. A crystal wand has a force field or aura around it like any other object. It is easy to feel that field when you slowly wave the tip of the wand over the opened left palm. Some people also may feel uplifted in their vibration just by holding the wand in their hand. Crystal Massage wand works at a deep level allowing the clearing of stress and inner turmoil. A wonderful Metaphysical tool.
Magic of Runes
Runes are about 2000-year-old magical signs that have for ages helped the people who use them to better achieve their goals.
Through runes it is possible to get support from cosmic consciousness.
Just like every our cell contains complete information about us; cosmic information is laid up in every one of us. This information lives in our sub consciousness and we do not always have access to it.
Runes are one way how to receive cosmic information and through this we can achieve our goals.
The last masters in this field lived in Iceland in the 17th century. Ralf Blum, famous philosopher and rune specialist, says that the art of using the runes lies in themselves and is right if it suits you.
The magical power of runes helps you to achieve what you desire through cosmic consciousness. Failures do not result from bad days but from bad decisions.
Runes help you to make the right decisions
The Seven Chakras
The following is a general summary of physical locations and elements associated with each chakra.
The first chakra is located at the base of the spine and is associated with red. It is the chakra that governs our physical existence, our bodies and our health.
The second chakra is located in the area of the womb (or thereabouts for men) and is associated with the color orange. This chakra governs creativity, and some say emotion. (I associate emotion with the heart chakra).
The third chakra is located at the solar plexus and is associated with the color gold (yellow). It is associated with the will or desire.
The fourth chakra (the middle chakra in the chain of seven) is the heart chakra and is associated with the color green, and also the color rose, which is the "color of love." This chakra is connected with emotion and human love.
The fifth chakra is located at the throat and is a bright blue. It governs communication and personal magnetism. It is the chakra that most influences intercommunication and our "personas." It is also the link between emotion and thought.
The sixth chakra is located at the third eye (mid-forehead) and is indigo (deep purple/blue). This chakra is associated with thought (though some say the third chakra governs thought) and with vision, particularly psychic vision. It is also the chakra of spiritual love and connection.
The seventh chakra is at the crown of the head, and is violet fading to white further away from the body. This chakra is our connection to our "higher selves" and to the "divine." It is associated with wisdom and integration of our eternal selves with our current physical selves. It is like our umbilical cord to "God."
When all the chakras are "whirling," open, bright and clean, then our chakra system is balanced. When a chakra becomes blocked, damaged, or muddied with residual energy, then our physical and emotional health can be affected. Often this occurs habitually as the result of negative or incomplete belief systems. The effects of our habits, feelings, beliefs, thoughts, fears and desires can be found in our chakras.
Stones are an important and useful magical tool. Their energy is more constant and predictable than that of "living" materials, because the stones themselves are much less mutable. At the same time, they are able to hold a great deal of energy and store it, and then to release it at the appropriate time.
For meditation, charms for protection for yourself or your home, for healing, for chakra work, for stone elixirs, or for anything that seems suitable. Remember that stones have "memories" and you must clean them when they are worn out, i.e. feel heavy or dull.
First decide why you are doing the magic. Is it for you or someone else? What is the problem? Do you need to give or receive energy? Does it require a full magical working or do you just need a little push?
In all workings, select the stone which has the properties to help you. For a little push, carry the stones with you, either in a little pouch around your neck, as a pendant or in a pocket. In a full-scale magical working, ask the stone for its energies and work them to your end. At the end of the process, the stone is probably completely exhausted and it is best to thank it and cleanse it. For meditation, carry the stone with you. For healing, place the stone on the afflicted area and see its energies seeping into it and drawing the sickness or pain out. Or you can hold the stone in your receptive hand to absorb the healing energies. For elixir: place the stone in a bottle and fill the bottle with water (with healing, include Sea salt or any other salt, as salt cleanses and purifies). Place it in the sun on your window or backyard for a day, and then use it. Good Luck and God Bless you.
